Raphael Kellman, MD, is a pioneer in functional and integrative medicine. He developed a new field of medicine called “Microbiome Medicine,” in which he created a practical personalized treatment approach to a wide variety of diseases. In nearly two decades of practice, he has treated and helped countless patients from all over the world with unexplained, unresolved health issues. His approach to the treatment and healing of patients is informed by his eclectic background in the philosophy of science, ecological medicine, mind/body medicine and the study of Kabbalah.
Dr. Kellman is one of the pioneering medical doctors to recognize the unseen ecology of microbiome bacteria, and how it could be leveraged to provide a revolutionary new approach to healing. He wrote the first book on the microbiome, The Microbiome Diet, which addresses practical ways in which microbiome science can be used to restore health and healing. Tens of thousands of readers have followed his protocols with significant success.
Dr. Kellman has been widely featured in the press, including U.S. News & World Report, Huffington Post, The Wall Street Journal, Cosmopolitan, Self, Dr. Oz’s The Good Life, Harper’s Bazaar, NPR, CBS and others. Dr. Kellman is a frequent public speaker at medical conferences on the topic of microbiome health in the treatment of autism, thyroid disease, cancer, neurodegenerative disease, gastrointestinal disorders, Lyme disease and other conditions.
Dr. Kellman is a graduate of Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, and has completed his postgraduate training in internal medicine at Beth Israel Hospital, Lenox Hill Hospital and St. John’s Hospital.
